My name is Marc Leglise.  I am a freelance web developer, pouring all of my current efforts into Ruby on Rails based sites.  After years of PHP-based everything, Rails is more than a breath of fresh air.  I hold a B.S. in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Human Computer Interaction from the University of California, San Diego.

I’m interested in user-centered design, the idea that computers are powerful enough now that casual users should not need to learn how to make the computer do what they want; it should be intuitive and simple.  At the same time, I love designing high level systems that will be used by people every day, especially when they bundle very complex technology into an easy-to-use wrapper.
